Event Press Release: National German Honor Society Announces Frühlingsfest

Submitted by: Nathan Baumgartner

BUFFALO, New York – March 06, 2018: Spring is coming soon, everyone! Before you know it, the snow will melt (for the last time, fingers crossed), trees will come back to life and the sun will start to shine longer.

What better way to celebrate than Frühlingsfest? Frühlingsfest, or “spring festival,” are festivals held throughout Germany commemorating the beginning of Spring. Canisius College’s chapter of National German Honor Society will be hosting its unique take on this tradition on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 6-8 PM in Grupp and Regis.

In cooperation with Chartwells, we will be offering a variety of German foods, with several vegan-friendly options for you to choose from! Best part of all: it’s FREE to Canisius students, provided you show your ID!

In addition, alcoholic beverages, such as beer and wine, will be available for purchase with valid ID, such as a Driver’s License or Passport.

There will be raffles and various activities, as well! Try your hand at German trivia, unwind from a stressful day of classes with some bingo and have a good time and some great food!

For more information, please contact Caitlin Orgek at orgekc@canisius.edu, Bryce Tramuta at tramutab@canisius.edu or Nathan Baumgartner at baumgarn@canisius.edu. We look forward to seeing you there!
