Academic Computing Advisory Committee celebrates 2015 and 2016 award winners

On Wed. Dec 2, the Academic Computing Advisory Committee celebrated it’s 2015 and 2016 award winners in a ceremony in the President’s Board Room.

According to the ACAC website, “the Award for Exemplary Contribution to the Innovation of Technology at Canisius College is awarded annually to individuals with a sustained track record of exemplary service beyond the level required of their official task responsibilities.  The 2015 awardee, Michael E. Szymendera, is integral to the implementation of wiring, routing etc. upon which so much of our wireless activity depends.  The 2016 awardee, Leah M. MacVie, plays an integral role in the development of Canisius’ blogs, web sites, and online courses.  Both awardees are well known for their initiative in delivering far beyond their assigned responsibilities.  They are, as well, personable, friendly, and in every regard humble in their unwavering service to the rest of us.”
