Waterproof Makeup Finds at Walmart

There’s nothing worse than taking time in the morning to do your makeup and look presentable just to have it all slide off the moment you walk outside to your class. While spring brings flowers, sunshine, and melts away the dirty Buffalo snow, it also brings with it snow’s slightly less evil brother: rain. Every girl knows the pain of walking outside in the rain and having her clothes look droopy and wet, her perfectly curled hair turn frizzy and flat and, worst of all, her mascara run down her face as if she’d just finished watching a Nicholas Sparks movie. Thankfully, the drugstore does offer tons of waterproof makeup options that will be sure to leaving your face flawless even through the bad weather.

Eyeshadow: Maybelline’s Color Tattoos (12 shades, $5.94 each)

These color tattoos are soft, smudge-proof, and super easy to use. Dip your finger in the pot and swipe the colored pigment across your lid and you’ll be set for 24 hours of wear. The texture of the product is creamy and the color payoff is amazing. The best part is that it comes with so enough product that it’ll last you until next spring so you won’t have to continue spending cash. My personal favorite color is “Bad to the Bronze” which adds a summery glow to your lids without being glittery or too warm.

Mascara: CoverGirl Lashblast Mascara in Waterproof ($6.94)

CoverGirl mascara’s are some of the best at the drugstore. They provide volume and length without making your lashes look spidery or clumpy. This waterproof mascara is perfect for light makeup days and stays put in all weather. I’ve worn it swimming and didn’t experience any flaking or smudging. The clump crusher in waterproof is also an amazing option from CoverGirl. Both provide flake free lashes that won’t turn you into a panda by the end of your walk to Lyons.

Eyeliner: Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Liner (10 shades, $3.97 each)

These eyeliners are phenomenal. They come in tons of fun colors and are soft, creamy, blend-able, and once they’re set they are completely smudge-proof. Not to mention, they’re so cheap there’s no excuse not to have a few in your makeup drawer. My favorite tip is to put the “nude” shade in your lower waterline to add brightness and give the appearance of larger eyes.

Once you’re finished with your quick, easy, and weather-resistant eye makeup don’t forget to wear a chapstick with an SPF in it as well as a lightweight foundation or BB cream with an SPF of at least 15 to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Rain is horrible for makeup but premature wrinkles are definitely worse. Now you’re all set for whatever weather Buffalo throws at you and you’ll look Instagram ready during all seasons.
