Isn’t Mother Nature such a tease? Transitioning from 60-degree weather and sunshine to 30-degree weather and snow in ONE week just seems unfair. But that’s Buffalo for you!
Even though the spring-like temperatures aren’t here to stay just yet, they have me excited for longer days, sunshine, and more time outside. Not to mention the return of one of my favorite weekly events … the Bidwell Farmer’s Market! Having fresh, local veggies and fruit at my fingertips again is something I’ve waited for all winter. However, you don’t have to wait until then to take advantage of all the great in-season foods that are available right now. Not only are in-season foods cheaper during their growing season, but they also taste incredible, because they are at their peak of freshness! Check out the spring inspired recipes I’ve found for you all. They incorporate some of the seasonal foods that spring brings as well as provide a great transition from the heavy, rich foods of winter to the light, fresh foods of spring and summer.
